Description A Vogel Centaurium is a well known ‘stomach bitter’. When taken before meals, bitter herbs such as Centaurium (Centurium umbellatum) may aid digestion. Centaurium umbellatum, used in this Centaurium tincture, is a small plant with purple flowers. It may be found in many parts of the world but especially in Middle Europe and Asia. The classification of the group of plants known as Centaurium is still in discussion and because of this, Centaurium umbellatum is sometimes also referred to as Centaurium erythrea.
